The correct replacement water heater for your Atwood GC6AA-8P 6-gallon water heater is the part # AT96117 on our site. I spoke with my contact at Dometic (who acquired Atwood water heaters) and he said that this isn't a direct replacement but it is the closest thing that they have to what you had.

The model number is GC6AA-8 (without the P), it has a 6-gallon tank, it is gas and electric, but it has the manual pilot as opposed to the automatic pilot that your previous water heater had. I have attached a review video you can check out as well.

Please note that the installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.

@Justin Thanks for reaching out! I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR for your application. The new tankless style water heaters are much more efficient and offer a prolonged amount of hot water - for example, this water heater can produce up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour and since there is no tank you can take advantage of longer showers with system.

@Justin The 16 x 16 door that comes with the kit # FR98SR is the smallest option available, however Furrion does have the option part # FR93FR that doesn't come with a door. If you're comfortable modifying your own door this option could work for you instead.
