Question:
I am purchasing a used 8x16 homestead trailer, previous owner removed swing door and installed a Ramp. This ramp is very heavy, what type of Hinge mechanism should I purchase??

The Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring # CB250D96SHD that you referenced would be great to help you with the heavy door that is on your 8 foot by 16 foot homestead trailer. This spring is 96 inches long and should work well for you since your trailer is 8 feet (96 inches) long.
For the hinge, I recommend the Continuous Hinge - Steel - 5" Wide - 96" Long # PLR844.
