What is Towing Capacity for 2016 Honda CR-V
Question:
Is it recommended to install a trailer hitch to this type vehicle and will it hurt the transmission. Is Heavy Duty recommended for towing zero turns and lumber . I dont want to hurt this vehicle .

I did some checking and it looks like your 2016 Honda CR-V has a 1,500 lb towing capacity so as long as you stay under that trailer weight you'd be fine to install a hitch like the # 75742 that you referenced. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the Tekonsha kit part # 118561 which is a confirmed fit and our most reliable option we have. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
