Which Direction Does Diode Face for To Prevent Collision System Malfunction 2017 Toyota Highlander
Published 02/14/2019 >
Question:
I finally got around to buying the diodes a couple of months ago...then finally got to installing the diode as per Jamesons instructions about three weeks ago. It worked perfectly. No more error messages and everything works properly. Thanks Jameson and etrailer for being such a great resource and providing such excellent customer service!

On the diode that you use there will be an arrow or some other way to indicate which way the current can flow through it. You'll want the diode to allow current to go from your Toyota Highlander to the brake controller and not the other way around. This allows the brake controller to know when the brakes are being applied but doesn't allow the brake controller to apply voltage to the vehicle.
