I'm glad that you like the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98858 and Curt Class III Ball Mount Kit # C45036 that you purchased for your 2012 Toyota Highlander.
When it comes to the Curt T-Connector # 56042 that you purchased, you can verify whether your Highlander is equipped with the tow package by contacting your local Toyota dealer with your VIN but the picture you sent in indicates that you don't have the tow package for your Highlander.
If you find that your Highlander does not have the tow package then you will need to use the Tekonsha T-One # 118449 instead which comes with the converter for the front plus the 10A fuse that you will install in location 29 of your fuse block (as shown in the linked installation video for the T-One). I verified in an online version of your owner's manual that location 29 is for the trailer lights.
