Recommended Tire Chains for a 2018 Toyota Highlander
Question:
I have the standard 245/60/18 tires on my 2018 Highlander. I am planning on a trip to Colorado and need some chains. I would like to have some that are easy to install but don't break the bank. Is there any way to keep the chains from damaging my wheels as well?

If you are looking for cost-effective chains that are easy to install on your 245/60-18 size tires then the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2317 are the way to go. These features square links in a diamond pattern to give your 2018 Toyota Highlander the best traction. There is an integrated tensioner to help the chains fit snug on your tires which is somewhat of a rim protector but there still is a chance that your wheels could be damaged.
To get the same kind of chains but with the wheel protection I recommend the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # TH01594250. These feature D Links in a diamond pattern for great traction, an easy installation, and rim protection.
I have attached review videos of both chains on a 2015 Highlander for you to check out.
Please note that the online version of your manual stated that to only install chains on the front set of tires. Be sure to check your copy of the owner's manual for any specific instructions for your tire chains as well.
