Hi, i have tried hooking up the plug according to the wiring program i found online but it still isnt working. I was wondering if you could give me a diagram for the wiring on a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500. Thank you very much!

I took a look in the owner's manual for your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 and there was no mentioned of the wire colors for the trailer wiring. Therefore, in order to make sure the correct connections are made you need to test each of the wires for function with a circuit tester. To do this you will need to have a friend sit inside the vehicle and activate the signals while you test the wires at the rear to determine which wire is for which function. Once you determine this you can then use the attached photo to make sure they are in the correct positions.
The other option you have would be to take the vehicle to a repair shop as they would have access to a program called ALLDATA which will give them the correct wire functions using their color. Please keep in mind that in order to install the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket part # HM40975 you will need to have a US Car connector plug already on the vehicle or you can install one with part # C56229.
