Recommended Brake Controller for 2018 Nissan Titan With Factory 7-Way

Question:

I would like to install the Curt Spectrum Trailer Break Controller in my new 2018 Nissan Titan. Where is the connector located and is there a plug and play adapter for my Titan. It has the factory 5 and 7 pin connector on the rear bumper. Is there an adapter for between the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite and a 2018 Nissan Titan? Also would I need a mounting panel if I mounted in one of the 2 places indicated in the attached pic?

For your 2018 Nissan Titan I very strongly recommend going with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # 331-EBRH-ACCV2 over the Curt Spectrum # C51170, which does use Wiring Adapter # C51382 to connect to your 2018 Nissan Titan.

The Redarc Tow-Pro # 331-EBRH-ACCV2, which you can install in your '18 Titan with Wiring Adapter # 3050-S, is by far the superior option because it is not only extremely effective and responsive but its manual control knob makes it simple to use; the Tow-Pro can also be mounted almost anywhere you like so it won't take up a lot of and the fact you can mount it wherever you like will keep the cab of your Titan clear for more imporant things - like leg room.

You will be able to mount the Tow Pro in one of the places in the photo you attached by using the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # 331-TPSI-001.

I have added links to video reviews of the Redarc Tow Pro as well as a link to a review of the mounting panel for you to check out.

Question:

Hi Kyle, Where is the electric brake adapter located on my Titan? I've read near the parking brake and also near the console but didnt see it on either side.

The brake controller adapter on your 2018 Nissan Titan is directly behind the mounting panel you sent in a photo of. You only need to remove it by pulling it away to find the adapter.

I have added a link to a video showing exactly where this is and how our installer removes the panel.
