Yakima Roof Rack to Fit Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Tonneau Cover on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma

I have a Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal system to cover the bed of my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. I want to eventually utilize a tent to stay in so what is the best Yakima rack setup that will hold and support the weight of the tent and people in the tent?

I spoke with my contact at Yakima who said that they haven't tested a roof rack with a Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Hard Tonneau Cover, part # 311-KMTA10A38 or # 311-KMTA09A37 for a 5' or 6' bed respectively, but he did give me a list of parts for a roof rack that "should" work for your 2017 Toyota Tacoma.

For your UltraGroove Metal tonneau cover you can use 2 of the Landing Pad 1 Kits # Y00221, 1 of the SkyLine Tower # Y53TR, and then some crossbars. At the very minimum you can use 58" roundbars # Y00409 with the SL Adapters # Y03536, but I recommend the Aero style bars. You can use the 60" JetStream bars # Y00425 which are more aerodynamic than the round bars and they have more of a contemporary look.

My contact also confirmed that this system combined with your UltraGroove cover will allow you to use one of their SkyRise tents. We have the 2 Tan/Red # Y07436, and the 3 person Tan/Red # Y07437.

If you would like to add locks to eny of the tents then you can use part # Y07204. If you wanted to add locks to both the tent and your crossbars then you would want part # Y07208 instead.
