Question:

Was told I cant put a plow on my dodge ram 1500 2017 because it has electronic steering assistance. Is that true ?

I spoke with all of the snowplow manufacturers we carry and none of them have ever heard of or had any issues with installing a snowplow on a 2017 Ram 1500 4x4. I would call the dealer to see if they say otherwise but I would not consider the statement to be true as all of the manufacturers state they have sold snowplows for this vehicle and have not heard back about the problem you described.

For your Ram, I recommend using the Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow part # K2AVAL8219 which installs using the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31374. The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver is a custom fit and the Avalanche Snowplow utilizes an electric winch for easy in-cab adjustments.
