Will the 4-Pole Mounting Bracket Work with the Quadratec Wiring Harness 92015 8001
Published 10/03/2018 >
Question:
I bought a wiring harness from Quadratec for 2012 Jeep Wrangler and I want to add a bracket to attach to the bumper like this one that you sell: Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat Item #18144 Here is a picture of the package the harness came in. Do you know if this will fit your bracket listed above? It has the flat 4-pole connector for the vechicle, and cover too with an area that looks like it is for a mounting bracket, but the ones they sell come on the hitch and you push the plug in from the bottom in a little clip like sheet metal part. Your part looks like it cant come out, unlike their part which looks like it could come out at the bottom. I do not need a complete hitch and dont want to get rid of the one that came on the Jeep, I just need a way to attach the plug and make it look like I am not a redneck from the 70s - where my wires and plug are wrapped around the hitch!

The 4-Pole Mounting Bracket part # 18144 should allow you to secure the trailer connector on your Quadratec Plug-n-Play Tow Hitch Wiring Harness 92015 8001. However, we don't carry Quadratec wiring harnesses so I can't say we have tested them together. It looks like you might have to put a bit more pressure on the plug to insert it into the mounting bracket or trim some of the rubber but you should be able to make it work.
If you don't have a tab on your trailer hitch for the bracket to mount you can also use the No-Drill Mount Bracket part # 18140 which as the name states, eliminates the need for any drilling.
