Question:

I have verified that my trailer lights and brakes are working correctly. The problem is that I have no power going to my trailer plug from the rear of the truck. this was verified with a voltage meter. However, I am getting power to turn signals and lights. I have checked my plugs and infuses which appear to be in good condition. my brake controller is also giving me a no power code. I have search the Internet and YouTube without any success. I used all the troubleshooting methods that were available on the Internet. No success! Are you able to help?

It sounds like you have done everything but check the wiring on your brake controller so start by severing the blue wire a couple inches from the back of your controller. Then use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the end of the blue wire coming out of the controller. It should only have power when you apply the manual override; if it shows power at idle then there is an issue with the controller, and it will need to be replaced.

Also check the power wire going from the battery to the controller to see if it is feeding power to the controller and if not, there is likely some cramped, damaged or broken wire you need to fix by adding extra 10-gauge wire # 10-1-1.
