Question:
I know this has been asked before, but the answers appear to be wrong. I have a 2013 GL450 NEW design - Not the 2008 - 2012 model and the hitch # C13190 appears to be the correct hitch. However, the answers provided in the QandA section claim that hitch # C13102 should be for this car. The answers also say the C13102 are for 2008 - 2012, but that is the OLD model of GL - the entire model changed in the 2013 model year to approx. current. Can you please double check this information? The 2013 is the same design as the 2014 thru current - NOT the old design. Thanks for your help here.

For your 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13190 is a confirmed fit. This is the only trailer hitch we have confirmed to fit your vehicle as long as you DO NOT have the Active Curve system. It will fit 2013-2016 models of the GL450. I've attached the installation details to assist which includes photos to help.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13102 is a fit for 2007-2012 models of the GL450.
For your 2013 model year, you will want the Curt # C13190. If you don't have trailer wiring, I also recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Wiring # C59236. This will require routing a power wire to your vehicle battery, so I've attached an article to assist.
If you will be towing, I recommend the B&W Ball Mount # BWTS10035B which comes with two hitch ball options, is adjustable and has a really nice stow away feature to give a clean look and protect your shins when not in use. I also recommend hitch lock # e98880 to protect your investment.
