Question:
Hello, Wondering how I would hook this up to a 1994 Silverado. Do I still need to tap into the wire for the brake pedal, and go through the firewall and hook power leads and ground to the battery? Thank you for your time.

You'd have to hardwire the install of the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 in your 1994 Chevy Silverado just like a standard brake controller as your vehicle does not come with any brake controller wiring from the factory. You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 18252.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
