Hopkins Smart Hitch Camera/Sensor System Hitch Not Aligned to Hitch

Question:

I can physically see that the camera is not centered on hit h and when I go to click to hit h mode it says Hitch Line Off I have a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban and the holes for license plate line up. I dont know how to adjust the camera side to side, if it can be.

There are 2 modes for the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002, everyday mode and hitch mode. Everyday mode shows a box on the monitor while hitch mode shows the lines that would typically help you line up your hitch ball. It sounds like you simply keep choosing everyday mode.

The camera can be adjusted up and down but not side to side. If you wanted a camera that can be mounted in a more general location (if your license plate is off-center from your hitch ball) then we will need to find you a different solution.
