Installation of Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Chevy/GMC on 2015 GMC Sierra 2500

Question:
I drilled the first hole in front bed rail. it is about 2inch in back of hole in bracket. The install sheet shows to measure from edge of bed at the tail gate 47.5inch to back edge of front bracket. What did I do wrong?

It is a straightforward process so I can only guess the measurement may have been a bit off when you first attempted to install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411 in your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. Are you certain you measured 47-1/2" from the lip of your 6-1/2' box? You can try and measure again, making sure it's from the lip of the bed and it should line up for you.
