Question:
I have a existing sony system thats not working. I havent started looking for the problem yet, but would just like to replace it with a new system..... Do you folks have any idea of what kind of existing wiring, I would have ran from front to back, and if so would any new equipment be compatable with the old wiring ? I really dont want wireless. My old screen just has gray screen when it comes on. Probably has a bad canera... ?

The easiest way to tell if you need to upgrade your wiring is to disconnect your monitor and camera to check the connection points. You may be able to use your current wiring if you use an adapter like the Rear View Safety Splice Kit # RVS-SPK01. It is highly likely you have a 4 wire system and will not utilize the audio feature. I've attached a photo to assist.
If you just want a replacement camera, then I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera - 150-Degree Viewing Angle - 8 Infrared Illuminators # RVS-2311 or the Rear View Safety Backup Camera - Weatherproof - Night Vision - RCA Connectors # RVS-771.
