Troubleshooting Brake Controller Fault Error Code on 2013 Ford F-150

Question:
My Ford 2013 f150 says wiring fault on trailer when I plugged my 5th wheel camper in. Everything works except for the brakes. Ive had it looked at and no one can seem to find the problem what do I do? Need anymore information let me know.

Most likely you have a short on the brake output circuit. Since it only happens with the trailer is connected it's most likely on the trailer side. You'd have to first start on the inside of the trailer connector cleaning any corrosion off or bending back and bent pins and then work your way back to the brake assemblies of each wheel on that circuit to see if you can find and cut or exposed wire and fix as needed.
