Type of Mounting Hardware Included with BoatBuckle Verticle Rod Hold-Down Styem

Question:
Are they stainless steel or corrosion resistant? Self tapping or no? And could an aluminum rivet be substituted?

The hardware included with the BoatBuckle Vertical Rod Hold-Down PLUS System # IMF15435 that you referenced consists of self-tapping stainless steel black finished screws, so you should not have an issue with corrosion. As long as everything is properly installed, there is no particular reason an aluminum rivet couldn't be used in the screw's place. This shouldn't be necessary though since the included screws are indeed stainless steel.
