Question:
Velcro I have a Truxport tonneau cover. How do I tell if I need the hook or the loop replaced?

Expert Reply:
For replacement velcro strips on your Truxport Tonneau Cover you will use # TX1117876. This is the hook (truck) side of the velcro and the mating loop piece will already be sewn onto the cover itself.
The best way to test which side, the hook or loop, needs to be replaced is to simply try and test both ends with a different piece of velcro that you know is in good condition. Generally speaking the hook side of Velcro is going to be stronger and last longer than the loop side, but you will still want to test to make sure.
If you find that the hook/truck Velcro is good then you will need to replace the tarp itself, as the loop end is not available as a separate item. If you can tell me what model Truxport Cover you have I will be happy to recommend the correct replacement tarp if needed.
