Is there a check valve or any other type of diverter installed between the camper and the water supply? There has to be something that's preventing the water pressure from getting to your camper. For example the # P23401LF has a back flow preventer in it which only allows water to come out of the female fittings. If you have something like this installed you might check to make sure it's working properly.
