2014 Ford F-250 Bumper 7-Way Not Fully Functional When In-Bed 7-Way is Completely Functional
Question:
2014 F250 7 Pin. Quick question. Right side Brake/Turn does not work on 7 pin connector. I have a 7 pin tester and shows all other pins work. I also tested the 7 pin in the bed of my truck for 5th wheel and all pins work on that one. Should I just replace the 7pin and bracket? Or is there somewhere else I should look? Looked at all connections and wiring and do not see any obvious cuts?

Because your in-bed 7-way trailer connector is working properly, you know that the issue is between that wiring connection and the 7-way itself. You may want to start by simply cleaning the connections on your bumper 7-way using a little sandpaper. Sometimes the blades get a little dirty or corroded and keep one function from working correctly. Next, I recommend unplugging the 7-way and testing the pins in the US car connector for function using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. It is highly probably that the 7 way connector has gone bad and needs replaced, but there is also a chance the wiring that connects your In-Bed 7-way to your bumper 7-way has gone bad. You can either test to confirm or replace a part to confirm.
For your replacement 7-way, you can use the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End # HM40975 or the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682.
You will not have a connection like # 118243 you asked from as that is a much older plug style that will not be on your 2014 Ford F250.
