Do 5th Wheel Rails Normally Attach to the Bed of the Truck
Updated 08/06/2018 | Published 08/05/2018 >
Question:
I have existing 5th wheel rails that need to come out for A slide in camper, are the bolts for the rails used in any way to hold the bed on the frame?

The bolts that you see attaching the fifth wheel rails to your truck do not attach to the bed or to the hardware that holds the bed to the truck. They will attach to L-brackets on the other side of the bed that are attached to the frame. For an example check out the part # RP30035.
