For your 2017 Hyundai Elantra, Curt # C11424. This is a class I hitch with a 200 lb max capacity and will have the inside upper receiver opening approximately 11-1/2 inches off the ground.

If you have the GT hatchback, then Curt # C11400 or Draw-Tite # 24905 are confirmed to fit. They still are Class I hitches with a 200 lb max capacity.

There are two carrier options for the Class I hitch compatibility. We have the 17X16" Curt # C18145 weighing 29 lbs and the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 weighing 30 lbs. As long as your electric wheelchair is under 167 lbs this will work well for you.

For suspension enhancement, we don't have anything compatible with your vehicle and it is not rated for towing so the weight on this hitch needs to still fall within the GAWR of your vehicle as stated in your owner's manual.

If you go with a Curt hitch, you will need to add a stabilizer strap like part # 18050.
