The etrailer.com Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98866 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2018 Ford Escape. It features a 2 inch receiver opening. I am not sure what you are referring to with a 3/4 inch receiver, as this is not a standard hitch receiver size.
If you are wanting a 1-1/4 inch receiver for your Ford Escape instead, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class II # 36524. This is also confirmed to fit your vehicle and has a tongue weight capacity of 300 pounds and a towing weight limit of 3,500 pounds.
