Question:
Will this work on my cord that has 3- 6 awg wires and 1-8a wg wire. It looks to be about 1 inch diameter.

The 50 amp connector part # A10-P50VP is designed for a hot wire that is 6 gauge and a ground that is 8 gauge like it sounds like you have.
