If you do not have the owner documentation for your 1993 Heartland Prowler trailer you can find out the original tire size by contacting Heartland with your trailer's VIN. If the design of the trailer allows for enough tire clearance it is often possible to use a larger tire size in place of the OEM tires.
The other consideration apart from tire size is tire Load Range, which is the weight-carrying capacity for the tire. This is very clear-cut: find the trailer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), which is the sum of its dry weight plus its carrying capacity, on the main identification plate. GVWR is the most the loaded trailer can ever weigh. Take this GVWR and divide by the number of tires on the trailer (e.g. 4 for a tandem axle) and you will know what amount of weight each wheel/tire needs to be able to handle.
As an example, their current model year 25PRLS tandem axle travel trailer has a GVWR of 7800-lbs so each of the four wheels/tires must be rated for 1950-lbs or more (7800/4=1950). A very poplar tire size for travel trailers is ST205/75-15 and this tire size comes in several load ranges, B, C and D. A D-rated tire such as Taskmaster radial # TR20515D can handle up to 2150-lbs so in our example it would provide plenty of capacity plus a nice safety margin.
Trailer tires should ALWAYS be inflated to the maximum COLD psi pressure that is indicated on the tire sidewall.
