Replacing or Repairing Rocker Arm on Fantastic RV Roof Vent

Question:

Vent opens manually. Knob to arm just “twirls”. I believe there is a pin that attaches to rocker arm—obviously not working. Fantastic fan model #LF4000 BT. FSD. Manufacture date 07/11. How do I access the rocker arm to reconnect pin? Do I need to remove entire fan unit to access that area?

When repairing or replacing the rocker arm like # FVK8011-05 on your Fan-Tastic Roof Vent, you shouldn't need to remove the entire fan assembly. Working from inside the trailer/RV and looking up into the unit, you should be able to first remove the screen. With the screen removed, you will want to remove the knob which is likely held in place with a screw. You may then need to remove a plastic tray which will give you access to the rocker knob. You can then see if anything has broke or simply become unattached that is causing the issues, fixing or replacing as needed.

I have attached an installation video on a different model fan than what you have, but the process should be fairly similar.
