Can a CURT Weight Distribution Shank Be Used with a Valley Weight Distribution System
Published 09/21/2011 >
Question:
Are all shanks interchangeable between different vendors? In an other way, will a Curt shank and a Valley shank interchange. Both take a solid shank. They appear to be the same but will they both work with a Valley WD hitch.

When shopping for a replacement weight distribution shank, the best option would be to choose one from the same manufacturer as the rest of the weight distribution system to ensure compatibility. The CURT Weight Distribution Shank, # 17120, is a 2 inch square shank and it has hole spacing of 1-1/4 inch, center to center.
