Brake Controller for a 2003 GMC Envoy

Question:
I have a 2003 gmc envoy with a tow package. It is already fused for electric brakes with 7-way on bumper. Do I need a brake controler and how is the best way to hook it up? Thanks for any input

A brake controller will be needed to actuate your electric trailer brakes. I can highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. The P2 is very easy to use and will provide safe and predictable braking for your trailer.
The controller will wire up to existing tow package wiring located under the dash, as you can see in the video I have linked to.
