Troubleshooting Trailer Hub that Gets Warms

Question:

have replaced brakes and wheel bearings have on wheel that runs hot. What do you recommend? Brakes have been loosend up

If the bearings are good and the hub is greased properly that basically limits the issue to the brakes. How much drag can you feel as you turn the wheel by hand with the trailer jacked up in the air? It should feel like a light drag and turn easily. Do all hubs get warm or just the one?

To see how to manually adjust trailer brake assemblies check out the video I attached, fast-forward to the 4:35 mark of the video. Basically you will adjust the brakes out so that there is a slight but constant drag of the pads on the drum when the wheel is turned. I recommend using brake adjustment tool # W80630.
