Question:
Im looking to replace the electric brakes and possible drums on my 2010 Camplite 12. It has a 2000 lbs Dexter axle, 13inch wheels and 7 inch brakes. . My question is when I look at part # 8-257-5UC3 it only lists 8, 10, and 12 inch wheels, yet I have 13 inch alloy wheels. Would that drum be sufficient for 13 inch wheels?

The recommended hub/drum size for a 13" diameter wheel is one that is for 10" diameter brakes. The wheel will still fit on the hub/drum assuming the bolt pattern matches there is just less surface area on the hub for the wheel. However, you are only 1" off of the recommended specification so you would more than likely be fine with either 7" or 10" braking assemblies but there would obviously be an increase in stopping power with the larger assembly. The brake mounting flange is the same for both 7" and 10" braking assemblies so it would be an easy swap.
If you are just looking to replace the 7" braking assemblies then you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-2 (Cost Effetive) or the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-47-48 (Premium). If you are looking to add 10" braking assemblies then you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35 (Cost Effetive) or the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-26-27 (Premium).
In order to replace the hub/drum for a 7" braking assembly or add a hub/drum for a 10" braking assembly we would need to know your bearing numbers and or bearing measurements. I have attached a help article to assist you with this process. Once you find the bearing numbers or measurements then you can either use the attached selection to find the correct hub/drums or you can give them to me and I would be happy to recommend the correct set.
