Does the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug Change the Amount of Amps Going into the Unit?

does this adapter change the amount of amps going into the unit? Or is it simply changing the connector type/

I reached out to my contact at Valterra and they advised me that the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug # A10-3050AVP does not change the amps going into the unit. There will be 30 amps going into the unit.
