Question:
we have 2 6000 pound dexter axes and the dexter equlizer, out problem is the top of the u bolts tap the trailer while driving. do all the hangers need to be the sime size? we mountes the hangers it came with but the center hanger between the axles is an inch longer
asked by: Richard W
Expert Reply:
Hangers do not all have to be the same height, no; the center hangers are longer because they work as a link with the equalizer between your axles. I recommend checking out your U-bolts to make sure they weren't somehow bent, cracked or otherwise damaged and are secured properly. I have also added links to a couple of help articles on trailer suspension which have a lot of good information for you to check out.
