I went out to our warehouse and measured the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ram Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNXA2062 for you. The distance from the base of the ball where it sits atop the hitch to the top of the ball is 5-3/4". I have also attached a few other measurements you may find useful as well.
