I’m looking for a replacement shock absorber Atwood part number 85830. What are my options?

Since we can't get the Atwood replacement shock anymore that you mentioned your best option would be to replace the actuator with a more reliable one like the Demco # DM72VR for if you have a drum brake setup or part # 099-175-20 for if you have a disc setup.
