Question:
How do I determine the correct Transmission cooler for my 2014 Subaru Outback from the list on your site? Im assuming I want Position 2. What does the Class reference on the coolers? If I tow at 95 of my vehicles capacity, is there a specific Transmission cooler youd recommend? Also, are there any videos showing installation for this? I am very interested in installing a transmission cooler, but have no experience with these coolers or installation. Thanks for your assistance.

Technically transmission coolers are not vehicle specific. So any of them can work as long as you have room for it. The Class rating on our site is something we made up based on the size of the cooler in reference to the weight ratings of hitch Classes. For example, a Class II trailer hitch is generally rated up to 3,500 pounds towing. So Class II transmission coolers are what we consider appropriate for towing a 3,500 pound trailer with a Class II hitch. It's kind of confusing and maybe not the best way to categorize it, but it's not the worst either.
With that being said I recommend going with the best you can fit in your vehicle. We installed the Derale Series 8000, part # D13503, on a 2012 Outback which is the same generation as your 2014. I've linked the video for you. Our installer actually places in in the first location which is ideal for the most amount of airflow. He mounts it to the back of the bumper, as you'll see. You'll also see that he uses an additional piece of hose, part # D13003, to make the install easier.
