Question:
Will this handle a 1/2 inch standard locking hitch pin or one I can purchase. I have a 1.25 receiver. Ford Fusion 2017 Curt HItch 12091 Already in your system as I am in the process of returning a bike rack that the manufacturer changed it to a threaded pin.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman XC # S64650 actually has a threaded hitch pin to help eliminate movement of the bike rack in the Curt Trailer HItch # C12091 on your 2017 Ford Fusion. This means that if you are wanting to use a locking hitch pin you would need part # S64029 which has the 19 mm Bolt head and 12 UNC coarse thread which matches the Swagman bike racks.
If you would also like a lock for your bikes then you can order part # S64031 instead which comes with the same threaded hitch pin as well as the cable lock part # S2005 to help deter theft of your bikes.
I am sorry that your previous bike rack didn't work out quite right. Bike rack manufacturers tend to keep their threaded hitch pins different from each other so that their racks are unique. These parts are all guaranteed to work together though as we have verified this with Swagman.
