Question:

Im getting ready to upgrade suspension of 2007 Forest River Lexington GTS 255DS designation, assembled on a 2006 Ford E450 SuperDuty cutaway chassis. Total length bumper to bumper - 26ft. Decoded VIN indicates GVWR is Class 4, 14,001 - 16,000 lb. Front GAWR @ 4600 lb / rear GAWR @ 9450 lb. Odometer is 47.6K miles if miles on leaf springs, etc is consideration. Last year I upgraded both sway bars helped a lot and I will be installing KONI FSD shocks F/R in this future effort. I need advice on which Sumo Spring products to order for front and rear to help with taming and negating some of the harshness we just experienced on 4000 mile trip AZ to Florida and back over I-10. Im leaning towards SSF-106-40 for the front and SSR-106-47-1 for the rear. Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated.

The SumpSprings kits # SSF-106-40 (front) and # SSR-106-47-1 (rear) that you reviewed are excellent choices for stabilizing your suspension.

We have many customers with Class C rigs that have benefitted from use of aftermarket sway bars and jounce helper springs, just as you are doing. One of our techs commented to me that your RV will ride a lot more like a pickup once the SuperSprings kits are installed.

Your future replacement of shocks with high-quality aftermarket products like the Koni shocks will give you an additional improvement. You won't need to worry about the bushings in your new sway bars for a few years but making sure those wear-sensitive parts are in good shape will keep your rig in top shape.
