Recommended Towing Components for 2018 Nissan Pathfinder Without Factory Tow Package

I am looking at buying a 2018 nissan pathfinder that does not have a towing package. I only see a 7 pin wiring harness for pathfinder with the tow package. do you offer one for vehicles without the tow package that I do not see? Also besides the brake controller and hitch is there anything else I would need? Thanks for your help

Since you won't have the factory tow package in your 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, I recommend using the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector # HM11143690. This harness plugs into your Nissan Pathfinder's wiring, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, run the red hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Then you can use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 along with the brake controller of your choice. I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 for ease of use or the really clean look of the Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR.
For the trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76031. For a ball mount you may want to consider the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048B to give you the ability to tow any size trailer coupler and yet stows away for a clean look when not in use. With whatever ball mount you choose, you may also be interested in the locking hitch pin # e98882 to secure your investment.
