Does the Entire Roller of the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610 Have to Touch the Boat

Question:

Just installed your roller guide system two questions. 1 the whole roller will not touch boat. Just the top roller and 1/3 of main roller is that ok. 2 how close to side of boat do you space rollers. I set them at around 1/2 inch closer or farther thanks.

It's perfectly okay if the entire roller of the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610 does not touch the side of the boat. 1/2 inch of clearance on either side between the boat hull and the rollers would be a great amount of clearance.
