Question:

I have purchased a new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, JL series, and wish to relocate my existing SMI Air Force One from its current vehicle into our new one. It is my understanding that I require a Replacement Towed Vehicle Installation Kit for SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System, Item # SM99226 I have also heard that an additional brake light relay is required for the Air Force one to be installed in this new Wrangler model. Can you advise me if you are aware of this relay, if you have them in stock, and what the price is.

In addition to the Replacement Towed Vehicle Installation Kit # SM99226 you will also need brake light relay # RM-88400.

The # RM-88400 relay is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn but is not required if using magnetic tow lights such as # RM-2120.

I have linked a video on the relay for you but it is on a JK model so it won't be exactly the same on your new 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited. Current pricing for items is available on their respective product pages. The brake light relay is one of those items that we always have available.
