Question:

Hello, I am looking for a 4 bike platform bike to grow with our family. I am looking for a bike rack that will fit my 29 inch bike, my wifes 27.5 inch bike and two 14 inch bikes that have a wheelbase of about 25. Will this bike rack accommodate that small of a wheel base?

There is a bike rack that will work for you, but the Yakima HoldUp # Y02443-2 will only fit wheel diameters between 20" and 29" so it will not be able to work with your bikes that have 14" diameter wheels.

Instead I recommend going with a hanging rack, the Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack # Y02465. A hanging rack will mean you can fit any bikes regardless of their wheelbase or wheel diameter, though Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531 will be needed to carry a child's bike or women's bike with a step-through frame.

The FullSwing # Y02465 will hold your bikes securely at three different points with anti-sway cradles to ensure they do not make contact with each other or your car.
