Does Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP Leak Water
Updated 11/11/2024 | Published 05/29/2018 >
Question:
I installed this fan on my van a few days ago and the very next day it was leaking water. The water appears to be coming through the metal screen and not through my outer seal. The vent has been fully closed. What should I do?

The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP that you referenced does not have a reputation as leaking. We've actually had quite a few people report back to us that it did not leak at all. Was the vent open when it was raining? If it was closed it should have not leaked through the mesh.

Not a helpful answer. I think the vent line seal is the problem.
