Question:

Hi, I have a Felt Verza E-10 weight approximately 55 lbs without battery. My car is 2010Toyota Rav 4. I currently do not have a hitch on my car. Im looking for help figuring out what bike rack could work. I would want to carry just this one ebike. The stem is 2.5inch wide. Thanks very much, I really appreciate your help.

In order to carry a Felt Verza E-10 on your 2010 Toyota RAV4 you are going to need a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike rack. This is because of the weight of the bike and lack of other options that can support this weight. For a trailer hitch, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98864 which is a direct fit for your RAV4 and will not require any drilling. It is also very easy to install as you can see in the attached video.

Then for a bike rack, I recommend the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack part # SA4412B. This bike rack will be perfect for you. It has a 60 lb weight capacity which will suit your heavy e-bike, unique mounting straps which will work with your deep frame and eliminate the need for an adapter bar, in addition to having a folding upright for access to the rear hatch.
