Can this bracket be welded on?

If you know how to weld stainless steel then it is possible to weld Stainless Steel Spring Latch # SL716SS. If the mounting surface is also stainless steel it makes it easier. But if the surface is regular carbon steel it may get a little tricky. A professional welder should perform the installation.
