Troubleshooting iRV35 Pairing and HDMI ARC Connection

Question:

Two questions Irv35 pairs with my galaxy 8 and will stream music. However when I try to pair the app it will not connect to the app. Tried both apps. The old app says connected but will not control anything. The new app will not connect How do I set up the HDMI arc to control the sound bar volume with the tv remote? Its a brand new 2019 windjammer. Are there more detailed instructions anywhere?

The iRV Wall Radio - iRV35 # 292-101809 has trouble with the apps on many devices. It is the apps that are the issue based on the information provided on many forums. The pairing is an issue and they simply recommend standing very close to the unit when pairing, but it will disconnect when you move out of range. The unit itself has been rated well for function and use outside of that app. The owners manual doesn't give any specifics about the pairing issue at all, so unfortunately I can't give you any instructions confirmed to work.

To set up your HDMI arc, you will connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI out (TV-ARC) on the sound bar. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI in (ARC) port on the TV. If it doesn't automatically connect for you to utilize the power and volume control from your TV remote, you may need to adjust something in your TV under audio settings. Without knowing your TV or SoundBar, there are limitations as to troubleshooting.
