Question:

I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy two wheel drive revers wheels, I was woundering do i need wiring?And if so how hard is it to wire and install everything including hitch,also i plan to tow a jet ski is this the hitch i need?

Yes, this Curt Trailer Hitch # C13300 that you referenced would be the correct hitch for your 1996 GMC Jimmy. This hitch should not be too hard for you to install if you have basic mechanical skills and tools. It should only take you about a half an hour to complete the install.

The recommended ball mount for this hitch is the Ball Mount 3/4 inch Rise or 2 inch Drop # AMSC2. For a ball for your trailer you will want to know what size ball the coupler on your trailer is designed for. Most likely it is either 1-7/8 inch (Ball # 19247) or 2 inch (Ball # 19260). You will also need a Pin and Clip # PC3.

A wiring kit is recommended also so the lights on your trailer can function properly. The recommended wiring for your vehicle would be the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit # 18252. I attached a video that shows this product being installed for you to check out also.
