Does 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser Have Trailer Wiring?
Updated 05/07/2018 | Published 05/05/2018 >
Question:
Hi, I have a 2011 series 200 Landcruiser GX and plan to have it modified to connect my small flat bed trailer. The trailer is small and only wired for brake lights and indicators. Im unsure if the 2011 Landcruiser is already factory pre wired [somewhere underside near the spare wheel?] for a trailer harness to plug into. Could you assist and if possible advise what accessories I need and is it feasible as a DIY project? Many thanks

Your 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser may have a tow package and the best way to find this is to simply call your local Toyota dealer with your VIN and ask. If you do not then you can add a 4-way with a universal kit, the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness with Install Kit # 119250KIT.
This installs without splicing wires, but does require the use of a circuit tester. This process is something some people feel comfortable doing themselves while others take it to a local mechanic for install; I have added a link to a video install for you to check out so you can see if this is something you would be comfortable doing yourself.
