Question:
I have 7,000 axles with 1/2inch bolts. under a 2016 Montana 40ft 5th wheel. I see you have 2 styles of rotors, slip over and rotors/hub combo. My concerns, do the slip over kick out the wheel so its outside the fenders and does this impact the OEM bearings by shifting the weight outside the thickness of the rotor. I have EZE Lupe axles, any issues with the rotor/hub set up. lastly is one better than the other for my application thank you

A slip-on type rotor-only disc brake setup like Kodiak 7K kit # K2R712 will indeed shift the wheels/tires about 1/2-inch further out from the trailer. This can in some cases cause tire-to-fender clearance concerns but the bearings really are not affected much so long as they are properly lubricated. The cost for rotor-only kits is often slightly lower than for hub/rotor kits like # K2HR712.
Rotor-only kits are a good choice when you have hubs that are in excellent shape and that do not require replacement, or when your hubs use hard-to-find bearings. Hub/rotor kits must use the same bearings as your original hub/drums. Rotor-only kits avoid this limitation.
